Campus Involvement and Hobbies: Outside class, I work as a Research Assistant at Haas with a focus in Organizational Behavior and Decision Making. My other current and past involvements on campus include serving as a Resident Assistant, and working for Cal Athletics. In my free time, I like to find new running trails around Berkeley, go thrifting, and hike the fire trails! 

Favorite Part of Greek Life: The people, 300%. It’s cliche cause its true! At a place as big as Cal, it is comforting to know that I will have a community of people to fall back on, and a space where I can feel like I truly belong. 

Fun Fact:  I once played soccer with Denis Irwin from Manchester United!

Campus involvement & hobbies: At Cal, I am a part of tons of clubs on campus! Some of the clubs I really enjoy are GenFlow (a menstrual equity campus org), the Undergraduate Public Health Coallition, Queer and allied premed association (QAPPA), MCBcDNA, and AMWA! I also love to volunteer at Alta Bates Medical Center, and I am currently volunteering at The Genetic Epidemiology and Genomics Lab on campus to assist in COVID-19 data entry. In terms of hobbies I love doodling and cooking

Favorite part of Greek life: Greek life helped me surround myself with the most amazing, passionate, and intelligent womxn I’ve ever met. I am so thankful for all the lifelong friendships I’ve gotten to make here!

Fun fact: I am up for a Guinness World Record for shortest tongue lol

In my free time, I love to try new restaurants, hang out with friends, and visit national parks!

Favorite Part Of Greek Life: I love being part of a community that empowers womxn to constantly work to be the best versions of themselves!

Campus Involvement & Hobbies: At Cal, I am working as a Student Assistant at the Law School, teaching a DeCal about Social Justice and Equity, I write for Spoon University Food Journal, I am an active member of the Latin Leadership Society and am a part of The Women's Network. In my free time, I like to paint, make tiktoks, try new food from Trader Joe's, and learn about fashion.

Favorite Part of Greek Life: I love that greek life at Cal challenges the norm and is constantly working towards being better.

Fun Fact: I was a top competitor in the state for archery when I was in middle school.

Campus Involvement & Hobbies: I am super involved in student government (in the ASUC), working on institutional reform, SVSH prevention, and sexual/mental wellness. I’m also a researcher at Berkeley Law, a Crafting Consent fellow and consent educator at Berkeley Hillel, and I write for a few collegiate magazines!

Favorite Part of Greek Life: I love feeling inspired to be my best self. Our community is full of women who push me out of my comfort zone and challenge me in the best ways. 

Fun fact: I usually spend my summers staying with my extended family, who live in a tiny farming town in Switzerland!

Lily Navab 

Year: 2nd Year

Hometown: Burlingame, CA

Major: Public Health 

Campus Involvement & Hobbies: At Cal, I'm a member of several public health organizations, such as GlobeMed and Healthcare Business Association at Berkeley(HBAB), and a research apprentice with the Hygiene Heroes Team led by Haas Professor David Levine. Outside of campus, I am a UCSF Health Advocate at the Zuckerburg San Francisco General Hospital and serve on the Marketing Board for the local nonprofit, Moms Against Poverty. Given I want to be in the healthcare sphere, I am currently getting my Emergency Medical Technician(EMT) license in hopes of being a frontline, crisis-response worker. For fun, I love baking, skiing, going on road trips, and dancing. My favorite cuisines are Japanese and Persian! 

Favorite Part of Greek Life: As someone who loves philanthropy, I admire the sense of mutualism established within the philanthropic sphere of PHC. Every chapter and PHC woman wants each other’s philo to succeed; always, our events are met with an outpour of attendance and enthusiasm across the community.

Campus Involvement & Hobbies: Outside Cal, I am a Freelance Writer, Editor, Photographer, and Recipe Developer where I manage food-based clientele in culinary editorial. Additionally, I am an intern for the International Associate of Culinary Professionals (IACP) where I manage social media communication, website development, and play an active role in coordinating conferences. At Cal, I am a Research Assistant for the France-Berkeley Fund and a member of Greening the Greeks. Some of my hobbies include volunteering at the Alameda Food Bank, playing soccer, community gardening, crafting with recycled items, and cooking.

Favorite Part Of Greek Life: Our band of sisters goes far beyond one’s own chapter, but rather through the entire Panhellenic community as a whole. Belonging to this extensive family of sisters is by far the best part of Greek Life.

Campus Involvement & Hobbies: At Cal, I’m the Sergeant at Arms at Sigma Epsilon Omega, UC Berkeley’s queer fraternity, I’m the BAM director and mentor in the Sage Mentorship Program, I’m an active member in the Latin Leadership Society, and I teach a Decal on justice and equity. In my free time, I love doing makeup, scrolling through Tik Tok, and playing Mario Kart.

Campus Involvement & Hobbies: At Cal, I am involved in the American Medical Women’s Association, Peer Health Educators, and Berkeley Cru. In my free time, I love running with friends, going to museums, taking tennis classes through the PE department, baking sweets, and boogie boarding. 

Favorite Part Of Greek Life: I love how sororities facilitate meaningful friendships and provide national networks of support. Greek life creates connections that will last a lifetime!
